July 3, 2024 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that on Thursday, June 27, 2024, Los Angeles Police Department detectives from Commercial Crimes Division’s Cargo Theft Unit (CTU) arrested 27-year-old Bryan Thola of Canyon Country, who was in possession of stolen bitcoin mining computers. The computers: recovered from the suspect’s cargo van and from a public storage unit, are valued at $579,000. Thola was booked at LAPD’s Van Nuys Jail for 496(A) PC-Receiving Stolen Property.
