Convicted Felon Arrested on Weapon and Drug Charges

July 4, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 8:00 a.m., deputies assigned to riverside county sheriff logothe Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station conducted proactive policing in the 31800 block of Railroad Canyon Road in Canyon Lake. Deputies contacted several subjects who were getting into a white sedan in a motel parking lot. While speaking with them, deputies noticed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside of the vehicle. Deputies detained all subjects and conducted a search of the vehicle. During the search, they located a loaded firearm, narcotics, and paraphernalia indicative of narcotics sales. The driver was identified as Rodolfo Terrazas, a 46-year-old resident of Hemet. Terrazas was later booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for felony drug and firearm charges. The other subjects were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for outstanding warrants.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Deputy Olson at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station (951) 245-3300.

As a reminder, "Community Policing" involves partnerships between law enforcement and community members.  Business owners and residents are encouraged to report criminal activity directly to law enforcement by calling Sheriff's Dispatch at (951) 776-1099, or by calling 911 if the matter is an emergency.
