Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested
July 5, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 10:45 p.m., Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the 32000 block of Riverside Drive in Lake Elsinore regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. The victim reported being attacked with a knife by a White male adult and sustained injuries to his head. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as 41-year-old Michael Losoya (pictured), a resident of Lake Elsinore. After a search of the area, the suspect was located a short distance away and was taken into custody. The victim was medically evaluated at the scene but refused additional medical assistance.
Losoya was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for attempted murder and resisting arrest with a bail amount set at $1,000,000.
