Missing 80-Year-Old Male 

July 31, 2024 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the family of Gilbert Louis Tauberg and detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him.

On July 29, 2024, Mr. Tauberg was last seen near the intersection of 25th Street and Montana Avenue in Los Angeles and his family is deeply concerned for his safety and well-being.

Mr. Tauberg is described as an 80-year-old male with gray hair and blue eyes. He stands 6 feet 1 inches tall, has a medium build, and weighs approximately 180 pounds. At the time of his disappearance, the family did not know what he was wearing when he left his home on the 400 block of Gretna Green Way.

The family wants the public to be aware that Mr. Tauberg is believed to have the early onset of dementia. Additionally, he takes daily medications for pre-existing conditions, which heightens the urgency of locating him.
