Update: Hit-And-Run in San Marcos
September 25, 2024 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a suspect has been arrested in a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured a teenager riding an e-bike in San Marcos.
On Monday, September 23, just after 6:30 p.m., Alan Reyes (23), was arrested and taken into custody. He surrendered at the San Marcos Sheriff's Station under the advisement of his lawyer. Reyes was transported and booked at the Vista Detention Facility.
Traffic investigators from the San Marcos Sheriff's Station continue their investigation into the collision.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or captured it on a dash camera is asked to call the San Marcos Sheriff's Station at (760) 510-5200.
