February 8, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Commercial Crimes Division Cargo Theft Unit (CTU), in collaboration with the Los Angeles Port Police Department, conducted a joint operation that led to the arrest of 25-year-old Denis Fuentes, a Gardena resident.

During the joint operation, authorities recovered 24 stolen vehicle chassis from a lot in the 14500 block of South Avalon Boulevard. The estimated value of the stolen chassis is approximately $600,000.

Fuentes was booked at LAPD’s 77th Jail for violating Penal Code 496(A) – Receiving Stolen Property. His booking number is #6963801.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are expected as authorities work to prevent chassis thefts from the Port of Los Angeles terminals.
