Deputy-Involved Shooting
May 12, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on May 10, 2025, at 11:50 p.m., deputies from the 
Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the 32000 block of Lakeview Terrace, in the city of Wildomar, regarding a female brandishing a firearm. Upon arrival, deputies approached the residence, and the female suspect exited armed with a firearm. The female refused to follow the deputies’ commands, pointed the weapon at the deputies, and a deputy-involved shooting occurred.
Deputies provided medical aid until paramedics arrived. The suspect was transported to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition. No additional injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The suspect’s identity will not be released at this time.
The deputies involved will be placed on paid administrative leave according to department policy. The names of the deputies involved will not be released at this time. Investigators from the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office assigned to the Riverside Sheriff’s Force Investigations Detail will lead this investigation.
