Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian Severely Injured 

August 18, 2025 – Panorama City, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that Valley Traffic Detectives (VTD) are LAPD logoinvestigating a felony hit-and-run traffic collision that left a male pedestrian severely injured.

On August 12, 2025, around 11:30 p.m., the pedestrian was walking in the westbound lanes of traffic on Roscoe Boulevard west of Tobias Avenue when he was struck by a gold or brown van. The vehicle stopped at the north curb ahead of the collision, before continuing westbound Roscoe Boulevard. The driver of the van failed to stop, identify self, or render aid as required by law.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. He is described as a male in his 20’s.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
