Organized Retail Theft Operation 

August 23, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that from August 19, 2025, to August 22, 2025, deputies riverside county sheriff logoassigned to the Perris Sheriff's Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team and Special Enforcement Team, in collaboration with loss prevention personnel, conducted a retail theft operation at multiple businesses throughout the city of Perris.

The operation was designed to proactively address retail theft and ensure the safety and well-being of both businesses and shoppers in the area. Throughout the operation, numerous individuals were observed stealing merchandise and or involved in other crimes. Each suspect was apprehended and arrested without incident.

The following is a list of persons arrested during the operation:

  • Daniel Lomeli, 46-year-old resident of Corona, arrested for theft with priors.
  • Alexis Bermudez, 22-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.
  • Gavin Ramirez, 38-year-old resident of Wildomar, arrested for outstanding warrant and drug paraphernalia.
  • Frank Villegas, 50-year-old resident of Hemet, arrested for probation violation and theft with priors.
  • Gabriel Luzanilla, 34-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for possession of controlled substance and probation violation.
  • James Flores, 47-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for outstanding warrant.
  • Berenice Cisneros, 26-year-old resident of Nuevo, arrested for possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and outstanding warrant.
  • Linda Dreese, 55-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for outstanding warrant.
  • Derrick Pace, 30-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.
  • Jonathan Lopez, 27-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.
  • Jibri Black, 18-year-old resident of Hemet, arrested for petty theft.
  • Jaime Chaney, 25-year-old resident of Hemet, arrested for petty theft.
  • 16-year-old female resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.
  • 17-year-old female resident of Perris, arrested for outstanding warrant and petty theft.
  • Jacob Lawton, 19-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.
  • 15-year-old female resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.
  • 16-year-old female resident of Moreno Valley, arrested for petty theft.
  • Patricia Cottler, 18-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.
  • 16-year-old female resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.
  • Abryanna Curtiss, 32-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.
  • Bobby Puente, 42-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for outstanding warrant.
  • Angelina Last, 41-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft and possession of a controlled substance.
  • Barker Hull, 38-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for outstanding warrant and petty theft.
  • Alfredo Moreno, 36-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft and probation violation.
  • Jeffery McKinsey, 35-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for outstanding warrant and possession of controlled substance.
  • Bryant Rifenbery, 29-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for possession of controlled substance with priors and outstanding warrant.
  • Rayvonne Gooden, 39-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for outstanding warrants.
  • Maria Oroz, 53-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.
  • Cynthia Garibay, 26-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.
  • Juan Holguin, 44-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft, possession of controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, felon in possession of ammunition, outstanding warrant, and PRCS violation.
  • Laura Gregory, 68-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft and possession of controlled substance with priors.
  • Shaquon Dumas, 31-year-old resident of Perris, arrested for petty theft.

This effort highlights the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and the city of Perris’ continued commitment to addressing theft-related crimes that negatively impact our local businesses and community. 

Retail theft operations like this are also supported by legislative efforts such as Proposition 36. It’s important to note that individuals who commit retail theft are subject to arrest and prosecution. Operations like this one are critical in addressing repeat offenders and deterring organized retail crime, while also working with the framework of existing laws to promote both accountability and rehabilitation where appropriate. 

The Perris Robbery Burglary Suppression Team and Special Enforcement Team remains dedicated to creating a safe environment so that residents and visitors alike can enjoy their shopping experience in the city of Perris.
