Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian Severely Injured
December 11, 2025 – Panorama City, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that Valley Traffic
Detectives (VTD) are investigating a hit-and-run traffic collision that left a pedestrian with severe injuries.
On December 9, 2025, around 7:55 p.m., a white Toyota sedan was traveling northbound on Van Nuys Boulevard passing Tupper Street when it collided with a male pedestrian who was crossing Van Nuys Boulevard inside a crosswalk. The driver of the Toyota failed to stop, identify themselves, or render aid as required by law.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian in critical condition to a local area hospital. His name is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin. The pedestrian is described as a 19-year-old male.
Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
