March 22, 2026 – Yuba County, CA – Yuba County Sheriff’s Office officials report that they are investigating a homicide that occurred
Friday evening at a gathering in Olivehurst.
At approximately 7:10 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a verbal altercation in the 1700 block of 6th Avenue in Olivehurst. Upon arrival, deputies located a 30-year-old male suffering from injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Adventist Health and Rideout for emergency medical treatment, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives responded to the scene and immediately began canvassing the area for witnesses and evidence. Throughout the course of their investigation, detectives identified the suspects’ vehicles, which led to the arrests of 21-year-old Adrian Vega of Yuba City, and 24-year-old Namee Najarro of Marysville.
Both individuals were taken into custody and charged with homicide, assault with a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, and carrying a loaded firearm. The investigation remains active, and detectives are continuing efforts to locate any additional suspects.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
