November 4, 2026 – Yuba County District Attorney's Office officials report that Namee Najarro, 25, of Olivehurst (pictured), was sentenced Monday by Yuba County Judge Debra L. Givens to serve 15 years to life in prison for the murder of Benito Valle.

The murder happened on the evening on March 20, 2026, on Sixth Avenue in Olivehurst. Yuba County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call and discovered a crowd of people gathered for a celebration of life. Benito Valle was taken by ambulance to Adventist Health Rideout, where he died from multiple gunshot wounds. The investigation, led by a Yuba County Sheriff’s detective, eventually pieced together the events of the evening that led to the shooting.

According to witness accounts, an argument occurred earlier in the evening after Valle confronted Adrian Vega about disrespecting a woman. Adrian left the event but returned a short time later with his brother, Jesus Vega Jr., and Namee Najarro. All three men were armed with firearms. A fight started and Adrian Vega and Namee Najarro both shot Valle.
