Suspect Arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon 

September 3, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 10:28 Riverside County Sheriff Reports Suspect with a Hammer Killed in ...a.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to a distribution warehouse located in the 20000 block of Krameria Avenue, in the unincorporated area of Riverside, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Multiple callers reported an altercation occurred between subjects at the location. One of the callers stated a motorcyclist drove into the crowd, injuring two people.

Upon arrival, deputies located three injured subjects who were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. During the investigation, deputies learned the motorcycle rider, later identified as Jesus Salcido Perez, a 40-year-old resident of Perris, intentionally accelerated into the crowd of individuals, striking two of them.

Perez was later released from the hospital and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information is available.
