August 11, 2021 - The US Interagency Wildland Fire Air Quality Response Program Smoke Outlook for the Dixie Fire for Wednesday.
Fire: The Dixie Fire is now 501,008 acres, an increase of 13,244 acres with 30% Contained. There is potential for large fire growth today. Fire activity to the east has crossed over the Sierra Divide and is active on the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Active fire behavior continues on the West Zone of the fire.
Smoke: Similar conditions compared to yesterday with the exception that smoke may be transported slightly more south of the fire. Conditions near Susanville will remain smoky, but slightly improved. Sacramento Valley locations should experience moderate to good conditions for air quality.
Health and Safety:
