July 4, 2017 - The Spring Fire in Mariposa County began on Sunday afternoon at 1:46 P.M. off of Highway 49 South and Allred Road.
Update: 4:00 P.M. 80% contained.
Two lanes on Hwy 49 South are open without an escort. The right passing lane on Spring Hill, is still closed for fire suppression equipment. Please drive carefully. Watch for fire and utility crews in the area.
Update: 11:00 A.M.
At 11:00 A.M. Today (July 4th) All evacuations will be lifted.
Including: Ashworth Rd, Grist Rd, Allred Rd, Ching Rd, & Hwy 49s.
The following restrictions are in place:
Allred Rd & Ching Rd are open to residents only.
Power will be restored to all areas. Fire crews and utility equipment will be working in the area, please drive slowly. Any questions or concerns regarding utilities, please contact PG&E at 800-743-5000.
Road Closures: Hwy 49s will be open with traffic control in place and Allred Rd. from Hwy 49s to Morningstar Ln. is open to residents only.
