August 1, 2017 - The Detwiler Wildfire in Mariposa County began on Sunday afternoon, July 16, 2017 at around 3:56 P.M. at Detwiler Road across from Hunters Valley Road about 2 miles east of Lake McClure. As of Monday evening the fire was at 81,826 acres with 90% containment.
