December 13, 2014 - The Sierra Sun Times weather station rain gauge recorded .03" of rain late Thursday night. On Friday the gauge measured 1.98" as of Midnight. A combined total of 2.01" of rain from the current weather system that brought rain to lower elevations of the county and snow down to around 4,000 feet outside of Oakhurst and in Yosemite Valley. DNC reported as of early yesterday Badger Pass picked up 14" of snow but not quite enough to open yet. Friday was not as windy as Thursday as the strongest gust topped out at 8 MPH at 3:46 A.M. With hard rain during the very early morning hours the weather turned showery in nature around 8:00 A.M.
