Mariposa County High School Grizzly Band will hold a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on Friday, January 2 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Saturday, January 3 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Steve's Sportsmans Cafe' located at: 3441 Woodland Drive in Mariposa. There will be live music outside and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Grizzly Bands upcoming Washington DC trip.

The MCHS Grammy Winning Band has been invited by the American Veterans Center and Music Celebrations International to our nation’s capital to participate in the Grand Celebration surrounding Memorial Day 2015 Parade and represent California at the 70th Anniversary of the End of World War II and the 150th Anniversary of the End of the Civil War.

The Grizzly Band will spend 7 days and 6 nights participating in educational tours of many historic sites, museums and join in a military wreath-laying ceremony during the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. The Grizzlies will have one more performance in a concert setting as well as a clinic with a Military Band.

The National Memorial Day Parade takes place in our nation's capital on Historic Constitution Avenue from 7th to 17th Street before a street audience of several hundred thousand spectators.

The Mariposa County High School Grizzly Band is honored once again representing our mountain communities, the State of California and honor American Veterans and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
