May 29, 2019 - On May 23, Teena Starchman's third and fourth graders at Sierra Foothill Charter School enjoyed a field trip to the Mariposa History Museum. They toured the original Mariposa Gazette building and saw how newspapers used to be made, watched a demonstration in the Blacksmith's Shop, toured the museum, panned for gold, and watched a demonstration of the stamp mill. They learned a lot about California history around the time of the Gold Rush and had a great time.
