July 25, 2019 - The National Weather Service Hanford Office has issued a Flash Flood Watch until 11:00 P.M. this evening for the Southern Sierra Nevada and Kern County mountains and desert.
A Flash Flood Watch means that flash flooding is possible. Very heavy rainfall may lead to excessive runoff, resulting in road becoming impassible.

The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for a portion of central California, including the following areas, Central Sierra, Fort Tejon, Indian Wells Valley, Kern County Desert, Lake Isabella, North Kings River, Sequoia Kings, and Tehachapi Area. * Until 11 PM PDT this evening * Monsoonal Thunderstorms with Heavy Rainfall * Avoid low lying areas and drainages as heavy rainfall in higher elevations can quickly send a surge of runoff into these areas creating dangerous conditions.
