July 30, 2019 - Yosemite National Park officials say everyone is cordially invited to help us commemorate World Ranger Day, on Wednesday, July 31 at 11:00 A.M. in front of the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center.
We will be hosting a short ceremony to honor and remember park rangers worldwide who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
The ceremony will also highlight the importance of the work park rangers do here in Yosemite, and in national parks and protected areas worldwide.
There will be many special events throughout the day including the Yosemite Mounted Patrol, remarks by Superintendent Mike Reynolds, representatives from several ranger groups, and a group photo at the end of the ceremony.
The post office will also have a special cancellation stamp for the day.
Please join us as we honor and remember park rangers throughout the world!
