Includes Mariposa, Oakhurst and Yosemite Valley
November 29, 2019 - The National Weather Service Hanford Office reports a Flood Watch is in effect for the Southern Sierra Nevada mountains and foothills below 7,000 feet from 4:00 P.M. Saturday afternoon through 4:00 P.M. Monday.
A Flood Watch means that flooding is possible.
Very heavy rainfall may lead to excessive runoff causing water levels to rise on area rivers and streams.
Some roads may become impassible or washed out, resulting in road closures.
More than half of all flooding deaths occur in vehicles.
Driving into floodwaters could be the last decision you ever make.
