Update 5:40 P.M. Per Madera County Sheriff’s Department: BASS LAKE and surrounding area is now under MANDATORY EVACUATION.
The town of North Fork and surrounding area is under mandatory evacuation order. Road 221, Road 222, Road 226, and Road 200 and all tributary roads are included. Please do not wait for an order to leave if you feel threatened.
Wishon and Bass Lake Annex are also under mandatory evacuation.

Residences east of Rd 222/Rd 432 and Road 426/Rd 222 will be evacuated. Areas east of Hwy 41 in Oakhurst, Coarsegold, O’Neal’s moving to warning status.

Update 12:05 P.M. Per Madera County Sheriff's Office: New Creek Fire evacuation orders being issued for Cascadel Road (and all off-shoots), Peckinpah Rd, Mission Rd, Douglas Rd S, South Fork, Tu Nobi, Rd 225 from Cascadel to Italian Bar. Deputies enroute to make door-to-door notifications.

Per Fresno County Sheriff's Office: The Creek Fire has forced an evacuation order to the entire town of Auberry, extending from the San Joaquin River on Powerhouse Rd. to Auberry Rd. in both directions out to Hwy. 168. This includes the points next to Prather & next to Cressman's General Store.

The Creek Fire a fast-moving fire burning on both Districts of the Forest. The fire which started near the communities of Big Creek and Huntington Lake, moved very quickly prompting several evacuations. Early Saturday afternoon the fire crossed the San Joaquin River and made a run into the Mammoth Pool area. Prompting some members of the public to shelter in place near Wagner’s Store and Campground.
With assistance of the California Army National Guard, 207 people were safely evacuated and assessed for medical needs. The fire burned actively overnight. Crews will be challenged today by steep rugged terrain, heavy fuel loading and high temperatures. Additional resources have been ordered including a Type 1 Incident Management Team. Evacuations and closures remain in effect.
Weather Concerns: Hot and very dry conditions will remain over the Region through Labor Day. RH will be very low, expected terrain driven winds, with temperatures overnight 70-75 degrees and day time 90-95 degrees.

As of 7 a.m. on Monday, 9/7, this is the current status of Madera County evacuations. At last report, the Creek Fire is 78,790 acres and 0% contained.
