Comments and notes on flight:
Div. J and M have perimeter growth and intense heat, especially along the northern tip (Div. M), where multiple minor peninsulas have formed. Additional growth was detected at the furthest eastern point near Div. P and N. A large spot fire was detected north of this eastern peninsula and just southwest of Lake Thomas A. Edison. The two hottest portions of the fire continue to be the northernmost tip (Div. J/Div. M break) and along the easternmost tip (Div. N).
The unburned islands in the northern zone have changed shape slightly, and heat continues in one of these islands in the southern zone. Div. G & J continue to have similar scattered heat profiles as previous flights. Some portions of the 10/5/20 provided perimeter still show no heat but are included in the burn perimeter.
Tuesday Evening Update: 326,706 acres and 49% containment.
