Update 1:40 P.M. An Update to the 8:40 A.M. Post on Temporary Entry: Arnold Meadow and Beasore Meadow Belonging Retrieval / Cabin Winterization clarification.
Those seeking entry must meet at 9am at the Mill Site in North Fork on Wednesday for access to the Arnold Meadow area, or 9am at the Court House in Bass Lake on Thursday to access the Beasore Meadow area. You must have proof of ownership or you will not be allowed in. Those who enter can leave at any time, no escort required, but once you leave, you will not be allowed back into the area.Additional date(s) will be available in the future, but none have been set at this time.

Update 5:15 A.M.: Sierra National Forest Creek Fire Operations Map for Tuesday, October 6, 2020 - Shows Divisions, Uncontrolled Fire Edge, Completed Dozer Lines, Proposed Dozer Lines

October 6, 2020 - Overnight infrared mapping has the Creek Fire at 326,706 Interpreted Acres.

Comments and notes on flight:

The unburned islands in the northern zone have changed shape slightly, and heat continues in one of the islands in the southern zone. 

Div. G & J continue to have similar scattered heat profiles as previous flights, while Div. J and M have perimeter growth and intense heat, especially along the northern tip and throughout Div. J. 

Additional growth was detected at the furthest eastern point near Div. P and N. Two hottest portions of the fire continue to be the northernmost tip (Div. J/Div. M break) and along the easternmost tip (Div. N). 

Some portions of the 10/5/20 provided perimeter still show no heat but are included in the burn perimeter. 


Monday Evening Update: 322,774 acres and 49% containment.
