February 11, 2021 - The Madera County Sheriff's Office reports during November 2020, Madera County Sheriff’s Detectives received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program (ICAC), regarding the distribution of sexually explicit images of a minor from a location in Madera County.

Suspect, Corbett James Cordero, 20, of Oakhurst was identified following an extensive investigation by Madera County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Detectives and the Central California ICAC task force.

Mr. Cordero was taken into custody on February 10, 2021, and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections for multiple felony charges including possession and distribution of CSAI (Child Sexual Abuse Imagery).

This investigation remains ongoing.
