10/18/2021 COVID-19 Update:

These are cases reported to Public Health between Friday October 15th at 4:00 pm - Monday October 18th at 4:00 pm.

New cases: 35

New case breakdown:

0 - 11 years old: 11

12 - 19 years old: 10

20 - 29 years old: 0

30 - 39 years old: 3

40 - 49 years old: 2

50 - 59 years old: 4

60 - 69 years old: 4

70 - 79 years old: 0

80 - 89 years old: 1

90+ years old: 0

17 of the cases reported today were unvaccinated, 6 of the cases were vaccinated, and 12 cases are under investigation.

Mariposa County currently has 1,308 total cases, 104 of those are currently active with 9 hospitalized.

Who should Test: Fever, cough, shortness of breath. 
Emergency warning signs include: Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, confusion or inability to arouse, bluish lips or face. If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately. * This list is not all inclusive. Please consult your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning. Please call ahead so that appropriate precautions can be taken.

Older patients and individuals who have severe underlying medical conditions or those with immunocompromised: contact your healthcare provider early, even if your illness is mild

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS:
• Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for 20 seconds.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay away from work, school or other people if you become sick with respiratory symptoms such as fever and cough.
• Cover sneezes or coughs with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
