State Route 140 Reopens in Briceburg
March 1, 2023 - MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) reopened State Route 140 at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, after temporarily closing the roadway Wednesday morning at Bear Creek due to rockslides.
District 10 Maintenance crews worked safely and quickly to remove snow off Route 140, then turned their attention to clearing three slides that fortunately were not as severe as the rockslide on January 15, 2023, that temporarily closed Route 140 between Midpines and Briceburg.
For the safety of workers and other motorists, please Be Work Zone Alert.
