Widespread dry and windy weather will continue across the Southwest, southern Great Basin, West Slope, and southeast California leading to elevated and critical fire weather conditions, including moderate to high-risk significant fire potential in the Southwest. Warm and dry conditions will persist in much of the Great Lakes, with minimum relative humidity below 35% in northern Michigan and much of Wisconsin, but showers and thunderstorms are likely in much of Minnesota. Hot temperatures will continue in south and west Texas, and isolated to scattered mixed wet and dry thunderstorms are likely with new ignitions possible. Showers and thunderstorms are expected across much of the central and northern Plains into north Texas, with severe thunderstorms from the Black Hills south to the Texas Panhandle. Isolated thunderstorms are likely over the mountains in northern California, the Cascades, and northern Great Basin, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the northern Rockies. Scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected in much of the Southeast, southern Appalachians, and Mid-Atlantic.
