Homicide Suspect Arrested
November 29, 2023 - Fresno Police Department officials report that the Fresno Police Department would like to announce the arrest of 30-year-old Scott Lawson for the murder of Mohamed Abdillahi. On Friday, November 17, 2023, just after 7:30 p.m., Northeast officers were dispatched to 7090 North Blackstone Avenue, regarding a stabbing victim. Officers arrived and located 23-year-old Mohamed Abdillahi behind the T-Mobile business on Abby Street. Abdillahi was suffering from multiple stab wounds and was transported to St. Agnes Hospital. He was pronounced deceased by doctors shortly after his arrival.
Detectives identified 30-year-old Scott Lawson as the person who fatally stabbed the victim on the night in question. On Friday, November 24, 2023, Scott Lawson turned himself into law enforcement officials. He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on murder charges.
