April 1, 2024 - Barbars Barnett of Midpines has been missing since March 24th. She is 60 years old, with light brown hair and brown eyes. Her height is 5’7”, weight is 140-150 pounds. She has mental health issues and is considered at-risk.
Her daughter Elisha Singh and her son Stanley Barnett are both in daily contact with their mother. Her daughter was on her way home from L.A. After caring for her grandfather for a week and stopped at her mother's house on her way home to give her a hug. Her roommate walked out and told her that her mother has not been seen since March 24th and is missing. This was the first time anybody had heard that she was missing. Alicia assumed she had not heard from her mother all week because she was taking care of her grandfather and didn’t think anything of it until she returned home and found out she hadn’t been seen since March 24th.
She has known associates in the Midpines, Indian Peak, Hirsch Road, and Bronco Hollow areas. She has mental health issues and is under the Mariposa County conservative ship. She is known to hitchhike up and down Highway 49 into Mariposa as she does not have a vehicle. She is very well-known in Mariposa. Everybody sees her walking and hitchhiking. Most people pick her up and take her places.
She is known for being agitated with mental health issues which puts her at high risk. Family and friends have talked to known associates, and nobody locally has seen her since March 24th which is odd since she is so well-known in the town.
Her home is on Highway 49 near Stumpfield Mountain Road.
She came to the town of Mariposa on March 24th and spoke with her son at Happy Burger Diner where he works. This was her last known sighting.
