September 29, 2024 – JCF Hospital Foundation announced the wheelchairs are here! John C. Fremont Healthcare District Imaging Assistant/Administrator Kim Hopman stands next to JCF Hospital Foundation Treasurer Saralynn Nusbaum (pictured below) and the three new wheelchairs the District was able to purchase thanks to Foundation funding. The District requested funds from JCF Hospital Foundation to purchase these chairs to replace existing chairs that are older and not functioning well. The three new wheelchairs have improved features such as lap belts, IV poles, well-designed swing-away leg supports, and a hook for oxygen tubing. Wheelchairs are used daily at the hospital. This is a great example of how the Foundation uses your donations to improve the quality of care for hospital patients and decrease risk for both patients and staff.
Would you like to support us in funding future needs as they arise? One great and fun way to do so is by joining us at our biggest fundraiser of the year, the Black and White Ball happening November 9th at the Fairgrounds.
Tickets are available now online at https://givebutter.com/JCFbwb2024 or at John C. Fremont Healthcare District’s administration office behind the hospital. Invite your friends! Purchase a table of eight and get a discounted rate. October 15 is the last day to purchase tickets.
Your $120 tickets include amazing appetizers and dinner from Chef Heidi Pusina, music from The Soul Galaxy featuring singer Cynthia Huddleston-Bennett, a no-host bar operated by 1850 Restaurant + Brewing Company, fantastic live and silent auction items, plus a raffle, professional photos in a formal photo setting by local photographer Amber Edwards Photography (results available for purchase online two weeks later), and a chance to mingle with friends and community members in an elegant, festive atmosphere in support of a most worthy cause.
In addition to items like these wheelchairs, proceeds from the Black and White Ball directly benefit the John C. Fremont Healthcare District's programs and services, such as additional needs at the hospital, Home Health and Hospice, and outpatient services, as well as scholarships and community health programs in our surrounding rural areas.
