Homicide Arrest
March 28, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025, officers from the Southwest Policing District responded to Tulare Street near B Street regarding a report of an unresponsive male lying on the sidewalk. When officers arrived, they found 64-year-old Abraham Tiggs. Officers discovered that he had a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite life-saving measures taken by officers and EMS personnel, Tiggs was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives initiated an investigation and ultimately identified 38-year-old Adam Delacruz as the suspect responsible for the shooting. On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, detectives served a search warrant at a residence at Tulare Street and B street where Delacruz was taken into custody. Detectives recovered a firearm believed to have been used in the homicide as well.

Delacruz has been charged with murder and illegal possession of a firearm. While an arrest has been made, detectives continue to seek information related to this case. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Fresno Police Department.
