Sheriff Tyson Pogue states, “This case is a clear example of how illegal marijuana operations often go hand-in-hand with guns and violence. The fact that this illegal dispensary was operating near a school is concerning. I commend our deputies and the Chowchilla Police Department for their swift action. We will continue to target those who put profits over public safety—especially when our children are at risk.”
Parents and guardians are reminded that many of these marijuana cartridges are manufactured in bright colors and enticing flavors, often designed to appeal to children. The Madera County Sheriff’s Office encourages the community to remain alert and report any suspicious or illegal activity.
