Mariposa County Sheriff Doug Binnewies in an email update commented that afternoon canyon winds are picking up.
The Sheriff said the Groveland Red Cross Shelter is in process of shutting down but the Tenaya Lodge Red Cross Shelter is still active. Also there is no update as to Old El Portal re-entry for the homeowners who were evacuated.

Mariposa County Sheriff Doug Binnewies in an email commented that during the evacuation of Foresta last night deputies encountered a bear rummaging through a home destroying the homeowners refrigerator.

Crane Creek Rd at Hwy 140
Hwy 120 “Big Oak Flat Rd” between Crane Flat and Hwy 140
Red Cross Shelter for the residence in the area know as Foresta is located at the Groveland Community Center located at 18583 Main Street in Groveland and the Tenaya lodge located at 1122 highway 41 in Fish camp.
Red Cross Shelter for the residence in the area known as “Old” El Portal is located at Tenaya Lodge, 1122 Hwy 41 in Fish Camp.
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK IS OPEN.
Hwy 140 into Yosemite National Park is OPEN
Hwy 41 into Yosemite National Park is OPEN
Tioga Pass Rd is OPEN
Glacier Point Rd is OPEN
All Entrance gates into and out of Yosemite National Park are OPEN
