Officer-Involved Shooting in Ivanhoe
July 19, 2025 – Tulare County Sheriff's Office officials report that on July 17th, around noon, Tulare County CATTCH investigators located a 33-year-old male suspect wanted for attempted homicide in connection to a July 7th shooting in Ivanhoe. The suspect was found at the Oakwood Apartments in the 15800 block of Avenue 327.
As detectives attempted to take him into custody, the suspect opened fire. Detectives returned fire while exiting the residence.
A drone deployed into the apartment located the suspect unresponsive. Deputies immediately initiated life-saving measures until medics arrived. The suspect was later pronounced deceased.
One detective sustained a minor, non-life-threatening injury and has since been treated and released.
In the interest of transparency, Sheriff Boudreaux requested the Visalia Police Department assume the officer-involved shooting investigation, which remains ongoing.
