Search Efforts Expand for Missing Hunter - Law Enforcement Personnel from Other Counties are Assisting

October 18, 2025 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that deputies and volunteers with our Search and Rescue Unit in the search for a missing Selma man. 65-year-old Ron Dailey never returned from his hunting trip. He left home on the morning of Monday, October 13th and was supposed to be back home that same evening but has not been seen or heard from since. He told family he was going to the Shaver Lake / Courtright Reservoir area of Fresno County. The latest information we have is that when hunting, Ron is known to travel down small roads / dirt paths off of Dinkey Creek Road and McKinley Grove Road. So far, his vehicle has not been found.

Ron is 5’7”, 190 lbs. with brown eyes, brown hair and a beard. He does have underlying medical conditions. He was driving a silver, 4-door, 2002 Dodge Dakota with California license plate 16028S2. Photos of him next to the truck show the clothing he was last wearing.
