Updated: 10:00 A.M. On September 13th, 2014 at about 7:00p.m. on Saturday evening, the Mariposa County Sheriff's Dispatch Center started receiving several calls from clients of the Coulterville Water District reporting that they were without water.

Mariposa County Public Works was immediately contacted. Public Works employees responded to the Coulterville community and were able to correct the problem.

Due to the water stoppage, the Mariposa County Health Department has requested a water Boil Order notice distributed to the clients of the Coulterville Water District until further notice.

Potable water is to be boiled for at least one minute to ensure that it is safe to consume.

This is a safety measure until further testing can be done.

This safety message was disseminated by the Sheriff's Office last evening at approximately 9:00 p.m..

The Sheriff's Office does not have specific information regarding what caused the water stoppage at this time.

Boil Water Order Issued for the Coulterville Community Water System

This is a notification from the Mariposa County Health Department, advising all residence who receive water services through the Coulterville Community Water System of a notice to boil all water used for consumption.

Water should be boiled for no less than one minute. The Mariposa County Public Works Department is in route to fix the problem.

Residence will be advised when the problem is fixed.
