Courtney Fire information on evacuation status and road closures per CAL FIRE

Effective September 15, 2014 at 6:00 PM the Evacuation Order is lifted for the residents along Road 426 at Courtney Lane and Road 426 at Suncrest Drive and all roads adjoining.

Residents should remain cautious of fire personnel and equipment working in the area.

Update for those evacuated due to theCourtney Fire per Madera County Sheriff's Office

The evacuation order is lifted for residents who live between Road 426 at Courtney Ln. and Road 426 at Suncrest Dr. The residents who live below Bass Lake Heights (Below Suncrest Dr.) are allowed re-entry. The roadway will remain closed to residents only in that area. This applies only to residences below Suncrest Drive.

Madera County Sheriff's Office: Due to the fire burning in Oakhurst and near Bass Lake the following schools are closed: Oakhurst Elementary, Oak Creek Intermediate and Wasuma Elementary 
Red Cross Shelter in Oakhurst -- Okahurst Community Center remains open to both families and pets. Currently there are 7 people seeking shelter in Oakhurst. Only those displaced by fire are being sheltered by the Red Cross in Oakhurst
Coasregold Rodeo Grounds is sheltering large animals.
Red Cross is advising that anyone affected by the Oakhurst fire should contact the Red Cross at 559-455-1000
