February 18, 2026 - Sonora, CA. - Supporting the recent announcement of hiring up to 37 temp/ employees for the upcoming recreation season, the Stanislaus National Forest will hold a series of open houses in an effort to assist local candidates with the hiring process.
Saturday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 28 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Forest Headquarters, 19777 Greenley Road, Sonora, CA, lower conference room
Multiple Stanislaus National Forest staff members from the Supervisor’s Office, the Sugar Pine Ranger District and the Groveland Ranger District will be available to review resumes (adhering to the new two-page resume format), walk candidates through the USAJobs hiring portal and answer any questions individuals may have.
Wednesday, Feb. 25 - 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Calaveras Ranger Office, 5519 Highway 4, Hathaway Pine, CA
Multiple staff members from the Calaveras Ranger District will be available to review resumes (adhering to the new two-page resume format), walk candidates through the USAJobs hiring portal and answer any questions individuals may have.
The application period opens Friday, February 20 and is expected to close on March 2. It is important to note individuals will not be hired during these events but the goal would be to get them applied for positions. It is recommended that individuals bring their own laptop (wifi hotspots will be available) with their prepared resume.
