April 13, 2026 – Mariposa CHP officials announce SR-140 is closed in both directions between Cedar Lodge and Yosemite Bug until further notice. There were two rockslides which occurred earlier on Sunday causing temporary closures of SR-140.

Due to the rockslide, Caltrans has closed SR-140 in both directions until it can be determined the roadway is safe to open.

At this time, there is not an expected time frame for the roadway to open. Please use SR-41 as an alternate route.

Is closed 4.5 mi west of Incline (Mariposa Co) - Due to a rockslide - Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.

Caltrans Traffic Update for Mariposa County: SR-140 will remain closed overnight from Bear Creek Bridge to Cedar Lodge for continued rockslide removal. No ETO at this time.
