Connections Emergency Shelter Operations Extended Through July 31, 2026
June 25, 2026 – MARIPOSA, CA – Alliance for Community Transformations (Alliance) is pleased to announce that
Connections Emergency Shelter will continue operating through July 31, 2026.
The extension provides additional time for Mariposa County's Request for Proposal (RFP) process to move forward, for a future operator to be identified, and for transition planning to continue.
In May, Alliance announced its intent to transition away from operating the shelter effective June 30, 2026. While the long-term transition remains planned, the additional month of operations will allow services to continue while community partners work through the transition process.
"This extension provides valuable time to continue serving shelter clients, support our staff, and allow Mariposa County's RFP process to move forward," said Hallie Wass, Chief Executive Officer of Alliance for Community Transformations. "We remain committed to working collaboratively with community partners as this transition continues."
By maintaining shelter operations through July 31, services can continue while the County works through the RFP process and identifies a future operator. The extension supports ongoing efforts to provide stability for clients, staff, and the community during this transition period.
Alliance will continue working with County leadership, community partners, and stakeholders and will provide additional updates as information becomes available.
