On Monday, March 13, 2017 as part of the Mariposa County Arts Council's Storytelling Festival, Sierra Foothill Charter School students in grades kindergarten through fourth (joined by Catheys Valley Preschool students), followed by grades fifth through eighth, thoroughly enjoyed assemblies with masterful storyteller Donna Washington. Ms. Washington grew up around the world traveling with her military father, mother, and six siblings. She weaved folk lore with personal tales and students were enthralled.
Here, Donna Washington engaged preschool through fourth graders in the SFCS multipurpose room.
