Search for Escaped Inmate Underway; Public Asked to Contact Law Enforcement with Information 

June 16, 2024 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on June 16, 2024, at approximately 12:19 p.m., SBSD Stamps 1deputies at the West Valley Detention Center discovered inmate Deshaun Stamps had escaped custody during an outside recreation period. Stamps has been in custody since January 30, 2023, for attempted murder. A search for Stamps is currently underway.

Stamps is described as a black male adult, 5’11” tall, approximately 170 pounds, and has green eyes. Stamps is bald and has tattoos on his neck and head. It is unknown what clothing Stamps may be wearing at this time.
