Sexual Assault - 4S Ranch
November 2, 2024 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a man is behind bars on suspicion of 
sexually assaulting a 75-year-old woman in 4S Ranch.
On Thursday, October 31, around 10:45 a.m., the man-made unsolicited contact with the woman at her home in the 7000 block of Carmel Valley Road. He asked the woman if her dogs needed to be washed. The two began talking, and the man was eventually invited into the home. After the man entered the home, he sexually assaulted the woman.
The victim's caretaker interrupted the incident, and the suspect fled the scene in a car.
Sheriff's Deputies from the 4S Ranch Sheriff's Substation and the Sheriff's Fraud/Elder Abuse Unit conducted a thorough investigation and quickly identified the suspect as Tony Choi (52).
On Thursday, October 31, around 6:30 p.m., deputies contacted Choi as he arrived at his home in the 100 block of Manzanillo Court in Solana Beach. He was driving the same car which he was reportedly driving while fleeing the incident.
Choi was arrested and booked into the Vista Detention Facility. He is facing charges of sexual assault and elder abuse.
