Fatal Traffic Collision 

August 7, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 4:22 p.m., deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to Ramona Expressway, west of Sanderson Avenue, in the city of San Jacinto, regarding a two-vehicle, head-on traffic collision. When deputies and paramedics arrived, the three occupants of one of the vehicles had already been assisted out of their vehicle and were receiving medical aid by off-duty nurses. Medical personnel took over the medical efforts, and the occupants were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver, and sole occupant of the second vehicle, was trapped inside the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The San Jacinto Traffic Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation determined one vehicle was traveling westbound on Ramona Expressway and crossed over the center line, colliding head-on with the second vehicle. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, and no further information will be released.

The collision investigation required the temporary closure of Ramona Expressway, between Sanderson Avenue and Warren Road.
