September 3, 2019 - Pastor’s Corner is a weekly column from Pastor Wynter Sturtevant III of the Mariposa Reformed Baptist Church.

The Church has moved locations, services are now held at the Bootjack Stompers Hall (located at 4662 Morman Bar Crossing) across from the Mariposa County Fairgrounds.

Time of service is still 10:00 A.M. on Sunday.

Do you know yourself? Do you know your frame? In the world, there are a plethora of influences that when we make contact with them change us. We might think we might know our frame, our constitution, and never realize what has molded us like clay in the hands of a potter. Who is this potter? That is another question that is important to answer. The classical Christian answer is the Triune God. God is the potter. Although you have been fashioned by many things, they are the instruments to mold you into the form that God has set for you. Remember this for it removes the sting of meaningless.

The King of Kings knows your frame brothers and sisters. Psalm 103:14-16 reads, “For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.  As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field;  for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more.” He knows about our weaknesses. He knows about our sin and how we struggle with it daily. He knows all this and provided marvelous grace. Christ came and died for creations framed by God.

May you take time to remember that God knows you and your struggle. His grace and mercy are given to sinners which is good news for us. The chief evidence of his grace is salvation in Christ who by his power, you are forgiven.
