September 20, 2020 - Overnight infrared mapping has the Creek Fire at 278,368 Interpreted Acres.
Comments and notes on flight:
The interpreters were able to designate the fire perimeter and isolated fires with no difficulty.
Large areas of growth were detected along the western, northern, and eastern perimeters of the fire.
Moderate-sized to large areas of intense fire were detected within the northern and eastern portions of the perimeter.
Extremely large areas of scattered fire were detected within the western, northern and eastern portions of the perimeter.
Isolated fires were generally within fairly close proximity to the main perimeters.
Saturday Evening Update: 271,938 acres and 25% containment.
