4-15-15-MyIP-Flyer-smMariposa Youth Impact Project (MyIP) is working in the Mariposa Community offering programs to inspire local youths.  MyIP's programs give Mariposa's next generation experiences that will encourage them to think about their future, become leaders, make better educational choices, and reach out to community members for mentoring.  MyIP has built partnerships with neighboring communities, companies, the University of California Merced (UCM), Yosemite National Park and others making available programs such as the UCM 6th grade Pen Pal Program, MCProject 10%, MCOE Writing Festival Contest, Children's Opera & Symphony, JA Social Innovation Camp, College tours, and Dinner With A Scientist.  MyIP programs are at NO cost to Mariposa youths and their family.  Registration fees, event tickets, food, transportation and etc. are funded through grants, sponsorship, and donations.

MyIP, which is under the auspices of the Mariposa Community Foundation (MCF), is hosting a wine tasting and appetizers "get to know us" at Savoury's Restaurant on Wednesday, April 15th at 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.  Come meet the people who make so many things happen for our students.  Tickets are $35 ($20 is a tax-deductible donation) and can be purchased at Pioneer Market, El Portal Market, and Casto Oaks Fine Winery and Art.

4-15-15-MyIP-Flyer-2-smMost of MyIP exceptional education opportunities take place outside of Mariposa County.  MyIP is also holding a raffle to raise funds to support transportation costs to-and-from these programs.  Grand prize is three nights at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Valley and admission for two to the 2015 Vintners' Holiday or 2016 Chefs' Holiday.

Raffle tickets are $12 which is the cost of transportation on YART to/from Mariposa to Yosemite or UCM.  Two raffle tickets can be purchased for $20.

The raffle drawing is on April 15th at Savoury's Restaurant at 7pm and you do not need to be present to win.  Raffle tickets can be purchased at the above mentioned businesses or emailing: pamoewe40@hotmail.com.
