JCFHF - $1,000 Grant Awarded
May 15, 2024 – Congratulations to Kati Baca, a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the John C. Fremont Healthcare District's Northside clinic who is going to school to become a Registered Nurse.
Kati submitted a grant application to the JCF Hospital Foundation outlining her plans to advance her skills and asking for funding to help with uncovered expenses related to the program. When staff members increase their knowledge and skills, it improves the quality of care provided in Mariposa County. The JCF Hospital Foundation was, therefore, happy to award Kati its maximum amount, $1,000, to offset costs. Kati is pictured below with Foundation treasurer Saralynn Nusbaum.
In addition to grants to staff members continuing their education, JCHF offers grants to Mariposa County High School seniors pursuing degrees in healthcare, with three $1,000 grants awarded this year). The Foundation also offers Community Health Grants of up to $1,000 to 501(c)(3) organizations, Tribes, or public agencies that benefit people either served by John C. Fremont Healthcare District or residing within the jurisdiction of the Healthcare District, which is Mariposa County.
To apply for grant funding, John C. Fremont Healthcare District staff and interested community nonprofits should contact the Foundation at jcfhospitalfoundation@gmail.com for a copy of the funding guidelines and application.
